The New National Library has recently won the Universal Design Silver Award (2007). This award gives recognition to good practices in implementing universal design features which facilitate a continuous and seamless barrier-free accessibility of the built environment for people of all abilities and age.
This award is in addition to the Construction Excellence Award (2007) received by the New National Library under the Institutional Buildings category and the Green Mark Platinum Award received last year, the highest award by the BCA for green buildings.
Rider Levett Bucknall Singapore were the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on the New National Library project.
